Samhjalp is a Christian non-profit organisation, that define it self as charity-, rehab- and prevention foundation mainly dealing with alcohol and drug related problems, and to do that we run: • Rehab Centre for alcohol- and drug users, 34 beds, (12 step program), • Halfway house with 19 apartments, • Two halfway houses with total 25 rooms, • Home for the homeless, 8 rooms, • Shelter for the homeless, 20 beds, • Soup Kitchen (meals giveaway), estimated 42.000 visits this year (2009), • Community Centre, up to 400 visit per week, • Outpatient Unit, approximately 500 individuals attend for counsel per year, • Prevention program that goes almost into all grammar schools nationally, • Second hand store, • Support Club for women, • General Support Club (the club support the foundation by publishing magazine, CD’s, sign etc.) We need website that is easy accessible for all that need to know about the organisation and what it stands for. Also to put advertisement on (banners) and publish the foundation news. Samhjalp, who has been operated since 1973, is very well known in Iceland. |
